A release is a bunch of titles sold all together. It could be a CD ( physical sale) or a bundle (digital sale).
Releases' list
This list presents, within a smart grid, all the releases of you database.
Here you find several information :
- the release type (CD, DVD, K7, bundle, ...)
- the commercial reference (REF)
- if it's a box set (coffret)
- the official and real numbers of titles attached on it
- the project name this release is attached to
- the UPC code attached to it
- the release name
- the label, in charge of producing publishing and dealing the release
- if this release has sales attached
- the artist performing (attached through the titles)
- the internal release number (idsupport) automatically generated by InPro when created (or imported)
- date and time of creation
You can open and / or edit a release double-clicking on it

You can find here several tabs :
General
In addition of the release's name above the tabs, you find here 3 zones :
1 . ) Detailed information about the release :
- the artist
- the label in charge to produce publish and deal the release
- the commercial reference (REF)
- the EAN/UPC code
- the support type (CD,DVD, vinyl, K7, bundle digital, ...)
- the project on which the release is attached
- the number of titles attached to the release
- if it's a compilation and the compilation's publisher
- the price category
2 . ) Release categories
Some contract plan some special discount on specific release (for example DIGIPACK or record book)
InPro allows you to handle those special cases via release categories.
You click on " + " to add a category and then choose in the scroll field the one you would
3 . ) Contracts
Each release, as a bunch of titles, must be attached to a contract. It is also that way, InPro does the link between sales and royalties payouts.
IMPORTANT MEMO : Contracts and releases are, most of the time, automatically attached through the titles except in few special cases, like a producer, as a beneficiary, is being paid only through the release for example.
If you really need / want to attach a contract, you may drag & drop it from contract's list or click on " link ". If you want to detach a contract click on " unlink ".
NB : To make sure the share of each contract within the releases is synchronized you need to click on " recalculate castings ".
Box set
This tab allows InPro to calculate precisely sales from various titles/releases of you database being present in a special pack or box set.
To inform InPro that a release is a box set :
- Tick the box " This release is a box set " , on the top left of the tab
- Click on the line " Click here to add a new row "
- Choose a release within the scrolling list appearing
IMPORTANT MEMO : InPro splits in equal shares the sales total amount between the different releases present in the box set.
Titles
This tab shows every titles attach to the release.
IMPORTANT : This tab must be precisely filled because it gets crucial impact on the royalties payouts calculation :
- it allows InPro to calculate and define the share of each contract within the release
- it allows InPro to calculate and define the prorate of each titles within the release
Here you find several information :
- the name of the attached title to the release
- the artist performing the title
- the version of the title attached (radio edit, remix, acoustic, ...)
- the ISRC code corresponding to the title attached
- the UPC code of the release
- the number of contract(s) ( = Nb contrats) attached for each title attached
- the deal amount, most of the time being empty/blank. However, if the release is also an external compilation and the titles have different contracts with different %, you must indicate here this % for InPro to prorate it precisely.
NB : As you may se at the bottom left of this tab (framed in red), to add titles to a release you can drag and drop it from the titles' list.
Codes
Here you find every code attached to the release in order to identify and match it.
This tab indicates :
- the code type, theoretically and ideally an UPC code
- the code itself
- the source
- the title ( = name) of the release
- the artist performing the release and / or its titles
Those data are, most of the time, automatically generated when sales import within InPro.
Sales
Here you see all imported sales of the release.
This tab indicates :
- the sale date you informed when import
- the number of sold units
- the net amount of the sale
- the country of the sale present in the sale report imported
- the dealer providing you the sale report
- the Public Price to Dealer ( = PPD), price base of the sale
- the source as it is within the sale report but maybe modified by you when import
- if the sale is a synchronization
- if the sale is associated with streaming
- the dealer type (Classic or physical, download & streaming = digital, kiosk, ...)
